Well, the peels of a ripe banana are full of NPK of 0-25-42. And this number of NPK stands is around 67% which means 1/3 of these peels come with phosphate and potash. And the rest 42% are of potassium. The rest can vary within these ingredients.

It is also proved that these three particles are used as the main ingredient of an ideal fertilizer. So, when you use this peel to make fertilizer for your plants, it works as effectively as any store-bought fertilizer and even sometimes better.

Making Banana Peel Fertilizer for Plants

Now, you must be thinking about how you should use this peel of a banana on your plants, right? I wonder how exciting you will be when you will learn the process. It’s because it’s as easy as drinking a glass of pure and clean water. Well, you can use the peel in two easy ways.

First Method

You have to first cut the peels into small pieces and then simply bury them near the roots. If you have a garden on the grounds, it will be the perfect method. But remember not to bury too much near the root of one tree. You can use 4 or 5 pieces of a niche peel part and that will be enough for one plant. You can also use them for pot plants as well.

Second Method

It’s about banana tea. Oh, don’t worry. You don’t have to make tea on your gas stoves. And besides the peel, you just need a few glasses of water. In this case, just keep the peels in a jar with a few glasses of water. Keep the jar lid closed until a week or two. Then separate the water and then spray it on the mud near the root. You can pour half or one cup of water under a big tree as well.
